When I began my career back in 1990, medical-grade skin care was a new concept and we were only able to offer just a few office treatments and services, like Retin-A, glycolic peels, DermaPlaning, and dry ice treatments. Many of today’s most in-demand treatments, like MicroDermabrasion and lasers, didn’t even exist, and wouldn’t for many years. I was initially hired as an electrologist (I can proudly say that I’m still licensed but don’t currently practice) and aesthetician/permanent makeup artist. Back then, there were only a few people in Orange County who called ourselves “para-medical” aestheticians. We were excited to be a part of a trend that we knew was here to stay.
I am so grateful to say that, 25 years later with thousands of procedures and beautiful relationships built, that I am more excited than ever about the newest crop of anti-aging treatments and products. That’s one of the reasons I started this blog: I want to share my insights and experience. We are all at different stages and on different paths to our goals.
In this industry, there are new products and services available all the time, and there is so much hype that it’s easy to get overwhelmed or choose products that aren’t right for your skin. Think of me as your skin advocate, providing education and straight-talk to help you understand your options.
And naturally, I started this blog to make new connections and re-establish old ones. Over the years, many clients have become friends and I’ve been there with them through all of life’s ups and downs. I feel like the luckiest girl on earth to be led into the profession of my dreams and have been blessed with such a beautiful and loyal clientele!
If I don’t know you yet, please – take a look around and get to know me and what I can offer you. It would be my honor and pleasure to help you achieve all your skin care and makeup goals and dreams.
