Acne

Candida
You may have candida acne if your breakouts occur often, infrequently, or monthly. They typically appear on the upper cheeks, temples, or forehead. In severe cases, they can spread onto other parts of the face and/or body.

Hormonal
You may have hormonal acne if your oily skin has breakouts in the “male beard line” area (as a result of PCOS, polycystic ovarian syndrome). In severe cases, it can spread onto the face and/or body. Some thin teenage boys may also have a testosterone imbalance if their cystic acne is on the beard line. Other symptoms include increased facial hair and painful menstruation.

Diet/Stress
You may have acne caused by diet or stress if your breakouts are occasional and you don’t suspect other factors beside food and/or stress.
